Present Status and Progress

The test track on Sawada Railway Station to Hatnur Dam (MDR-15) near Bhusaval, Distt. Jalgaon (Maharashtra) at chainage 00/000 to 00/900 was constructed in December 2003. Total length of the test track is divided in three parts. Each part is of 300 meters in length. First part is constructed using only yellow stone, second part using yellow stone & black basalt as 50:50 % and third part is constructed using black basalt in WBM The test track was constructed as per the standard specification of P.W.D. Mahasrashtra state. On the WBM surface, 20 mm premix carpet with liquid seal coat (Hot Mix Hot laid) was provided. Post construction observations are to be taken twice in a year (Pre monsoon & post monsoon) for the period of three years. Post construction observations are in progress.

Findings/ Conclusions
First post construction observation has been taken in May 2004. It has been found that overall rating of the test track’s ‘’Good’’.

Limitations

The study is in progress. At present all the three stretches of test track are in good condition.
