Findings/Conclusions

Partial substitution of Wollastonite in concrete mixes brings about 20 and 30% improvement in compressive strength at 28 & 56 days respectively and 30 & 40% increase in flexural strength during the same period. An overall economy of 10 to 15% in the construction cost of concrete pavement can be achieved by the incorporation of Wollastonite.

Recommendations
Trial stretches should be constructed and evaluated for performance.
